Welcome to the Older People’s Day website

People are living longer and 23% of the UK will be aged 65 and over by 2035. The main aim for this website is to celebrate the achievements and contributions that older people make to our society and tackle negative attitudes and outdated stereotypes.

This website will feature local and national events that you can be involved in; events and activities will be taking place throughout the year culminating in the main celebrations on 1 October.
